It's sunday so it's time for a pure Chags and Zags column

Well before we go with Chags and Zags, I have a joke to tell, I must put a disclaimer on this joke, and advise those who may be offended by language, I'd recommend you to skip over the joke.

Who is Jack Schitt? The Lineage Revealed.

Many people are at a loss for a response when someone says, "You
don't know Jack Schitt". Now, You can handle the situation.

Jack is the only son of Awe Schitt and O. Schitt. Awe Schitt,
the fertilizer magnate, married O. Schitt, the owner of
Knee-deep Schitt, Inc.

In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt and the deeply religious
couple produced 6 children: Holie Schitt, The twins; Deep Schitt
and Dip Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Giva Schitt and Bull Schitt, a
high school dropout.

After being married for 15 years Jack and Noe divorced. Noe
later married Mr. Sherlock and because her kids were living with
them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was known as Noe
Schitt-Sherlock.

Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt and they produced a cowardly son,
Chicken Schitt. Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt were inseparable
throughout childhood and consequently, married the Happens
brothers in a dual ceremony.

The Schitt-Happens children are Dawg, Byrd and Horse. Bull
Schitt the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He
recently returned with his new bride, Pisa Schitt.

Now, when someone say's you don't know Jack Schitt, you can
correct them.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
And now let's chags and Zags it
<><><><><><><><><><>
Zags to Ben Maller for this stupid statment;
No one should be surprised when the Red Sox place Manny Ramirez on waivers again. For all of Manny's spirited production and World Series heroics the Sox would dearly love to get out from under the $80 million they owe him (under the old market) the next four years so they can get into Beltran sweepstakes themselves. If Manny's out there for the taking, Minaya, for one, will find that enticing, but in the end there doesn't appear to be an owner in baseball, Fred Wilpon included, prepared to either offer, or take on, old market contracts.

<><><><><><><><><><>
Chags to Yankees hitting coach don Mattingly who is thinking about walking away from his $500,000 salary to spend more time with his kids. I love it because he already has a lot of money, now it's his time to spend with his kids.
<><><><><><><><><><>
Did you know? For the record, Wally Backman's is not the shortest managerial tenure in history. That dubious distinction remains with Eddie Stanky, who was hired to manage the Texas Rangers in June of 1977 and quit after just one game, a 10-8 loss to Minnesota.
<><><><><><><><><><>
Chags to Pat Tillman's former High School, who will name its new football stadium after him. Chags to Leland High School.
<><><><><><><><><><>
Chags to Pittsburgh eateries;
Peppi's, a deli near Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, has jumped on the Ben Roethlisberger bandwagon. For $7 (matching Roethlisberger's jersey number), you get a "Roethlisburger" featuring beef, sausage, scrambled eggs, American cheese and, just maybe, bypass surgery. Not to be outdone, the Brentwood Express offers a "Ben Roethlis-burger" topped with bacon, barbecue sauce, ranch dressing, cheddar and provolone.

<><><><><><><><><><>
And finally Chags to a fellow Ninja and Chaghawk who took the time to make a tag board for me, if only I had the guts to change those colors.
<><><><><><><><><><>
