A Pure Jeers and Cheers version of Chaggy's Blog

To make up for yesturday today is basically going to be a Jeers and Cheers
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Jeers to Red Sox nation for continuing to hop on Bronson Arroyo, in his last 6 starts he has had 2.36 runs a game for support, not even Pedro can win with those numbers. Give him some slack
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Jeers to Tito Francona. Can you learn to manage this team, myself and i'm sure anybody in Red Sox Nation could be a better manager, BRING BACK GRADY!
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Cheers to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and their fans. Finally they're getting more than 10,000 people to go and see a game. I think that people finally realized that there is a team in Tampa Bay not named the Lightning.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Jeers to ESPN 2 for covering the NHL Draft, why cover it if there isn't going to be a season next year?
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Jeers to the Orlando Magic for not making Emeka the number 1 draft pick, what were you people thinking. Also Jeers for not picking me number 1. I was waiting for my phone call and I didn't get it, I'm still waiting.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Jeers to me for thinking that I was going to get drafted
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
This is something else, Cheers for that iddiot in Texas for doing the right thing and sending the ball back to that little kid, it may have been a little too late, but I still think he's an ass.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
cheers to the Mets for doing what I didn't think they could do and that is beat the Yanks, how about a sweep today/tonight.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
That's the blog for today, leave some.

I can't believe what I just saw

Covering Wimbledon as I like to think I do, almost as much as Paige does, I was shocked to see that Venus Williams was screwed. Yes I was very happy that Venus was ousted but for a mistake like that to be made and yet nobody picks up on it. I was talking to Bob Ryan last night, through theremyreport.com, and we both agreed that hey when somebody sneezes the guy in the chair stops play to say bless you, so why doesn't somebody in the crowd say something. Do the fans in England so against the Williams sisters that they wanted somebody new? I have no idea but you have to think that the people judging Centre Court would be the best, not just a guy who looks like he belongs on the set of the Wizard of Oz.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Ok for everybody's favorite Segment Jeers and Cheers
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Jeers to referee Ted Watts for screwing up the score, costing Venus Williams the match against Karolina Sprem 7-6(7-5), 7-6(7-5). How could nobody pick up on this, the anouncers were screaming on TV that something was screwed up, that's more reason why we need more coaches like John McEnroe.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Jeers for Orlando for picking a High School player as the first pick in the draft, how can you pass on YUKON star Okafor. Since when has a High School Player done well in the NBA, oh so Kobe, T-Mac, and Lebron are the exception.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Cheers to Wimbledon for getting a new Centre Court chairperson for the other Williams sister.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Cheers to ATH for reshowing probably the funniest 15 seconds on that show since Max left
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Jeers to Stat Girl for taking away Woody's 15 seconds when he was ready to redeem himself
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Cheers to I, Max for their new graphics, when is Max finally going to beat an opponent on Devils' Advocate
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
And now for a Mariotti, Cheers to the Royals for not trading Beltran to the Yankees but Jeers for not trading him to the Sox. Please Houston, now fans in Boston are really saying, Houston, we have a problem.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Cheers to David Letterman last night on his show for not only eating a piece of coal but washing it down with some HCL.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
That's the blog for today

A review of ballparks, my list of ones to goto and the ones to skip

Typing this on no sleep since I had to fly back to Beantown very, very early this morning. Yes I flew in at 1:30 in the morning St. Louis time because i had a family emergency, so I typed this on the plane ride home and now I'm uploading it. For those readers at home who know me, my cousin broke his neck while skateboarding so I had to get home as soon as I could so right after last night's game I was looking for a flight.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Well fans I'm now up to a grand total of 16 ballparks; Fenway Park, Yankee Stadium, Shea Stadium, Skydome, Olympic Stadium , Busch Stadium, Wrigley Field, US Cellular Field, Camden Yards, Coors Field, Tropicana Field, The Ballpark in Arlington, Dodger Stadium, Networks Associates Coliseum, PNC Park, and Jacobs Field.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
My favorite park, and this may surprise some of my readers but the park that I loved the most was Camden Yards in Baltimore. In this park you can get good seats for a price you can afford to pay. Great atmosphere plus it's the best looking stadium i've been too.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Another pick for a great park is Fenway Park. Ok I can hear the HOMER chant now but there isn't anything like catching a game at Fenway Park. It has the most electric atmosphere that you'll find anywhere, and forget it if it's Sox vs Yankees.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Ok this is another shock for some of my readers but another park I loved was Yankee Stadium, and I'd like it more if the Yankees didn't play there. This ballpark has so much history and being a history buff when I went I took a tour and I was able to go to monument park which was cool to see being a Baseball fan.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Now onto the parks that should be closed forever;
Skydome, Tropicana, and Olympic Stadium. Is anybody else surprised that I picked the three domed stadiums in Major League Baseball. I've never been to the Twins stadium so I can't comment on how that stadium is.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Skydome sure you can get a good ticket for any game on the schedule but who goes to those games, their biggest crowd thi syear as about 20,000. People in Canada really don't care about Baseball. It's horriable and I'd rush to see this park before it falls on itself
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Tropicana, is a horriable stadium, the playing conditions are dirt poor, oh I'm sorry it's not even dirt. I sat in the Bullpen party area and they weren't bad seats but then again the stadium doesn't draw. I was happy to be there during the Game when Wakefield had a nohitter through 8+ innings and that was the only highlight of that stadium.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
And now to the stadium with the worst food I've ever had and that would be Olympic Stadium. I don't know if you can even call it a stadium. It's too round for me, a baseball stadium has to look like a stadium while this was just round.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Stadiums that I really didn't mind that other people have complained about was Busch stadium. It may have been that it was a Cubs vs Cards game that I saw but I really didn't think that it was that bad.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
That's the blog for today.

Bonds being the biggest a$$hole

Welcome from my suite here in Chi-Town before my trip down to St. Louis, to see the first place Cardinals vs the second place Cubs. But that's not what i'm ready to bash, i have to bash Barry Bonds. What are you thinking blasting Boston, which has to be the greatest Sports nation in the USA, forget New York and forget Los Angeles Boston has the best sports casters and the best sports writters, where else can you find Bob Ryan. Now getting to the iddiot Bonds with this killer quote, ""Boston is too racist for me,'' he said. "I couldn't play there.''

It is a judgment, he acknowledges, not derived of firsthand experience -- he missed the 1999 All-Star Game, played in Boston, because of an injury -- but on word-of-mouth.

"Only what guys have said," he said, "but that's been going on ever since my dad [Bobby] was playing baseball. I can't play like that. That's not for me, brother.""
(~Thanks to Gordon Edes, Boston Globe staff; full article can be found at http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2004/06/18/18bonds/)
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*
How can you even think of talking about Boston when you admit that you've never played there, so how can you even think about bashing a place you've ever seen. So I talk about how I think St. Louis is a great place to live, well I wouldn't know that because I've never lived there. You can't judge a book by it's cover so how the hell can you say that you can't play there if you've never even been there. Let me tell you after that comment I can almost guarantee that Boston wouldn't want your ass here. Get the hell out of baseball now while you still have a chance.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Now on to Jeers and Cheers
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
The first time i've ever done this, a jeer to Woody Paige. How the hell can you cover wimbleton when you're sitting in an office in Denver, come on now Paige.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Jeers to Mark Cuban, what are you doing and what the hell are you thinking you want to be Donald Trump's caddie, how about his hair styleist since he needs one.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Cheers to the Cards for the absolute roll they've been on
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Another thing I've never done, Cheers to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and they've been on an absolute roll
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Catch you guys soon, when I have a report on Busch Stadium.

Last blog until Monday

So my readers such as Anna don't think that I've fallen off of the face of the earth, I arrived back in New England safe and sound and I won't be updating the blog until I'm in Chi-town on Monday. Now onto today's sports blog.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Red Sox Nation why aren't you complaining about Curt Schilling? No I havne't lost my mind but we have to think here for a second, Bronson Arroyo has one bad start and we jump all over him, then Curt has that great outing last night and nobody screams at him, red Sox Nation, I'm at this moment not proud to be a member. If you can't remain constant with your complaints then I'm ready to leave Sox Nation and take off and join the Cardinal Crew. I can't believe this; Why are we so quick to jump on Bronson yet come up with excuses for why Curt didn't pitch so well. Oh maybe it was his ankle, maybe he was tired; when Kim went down with his back we were ready to throw him out of Boston. Nation pull yourself together. The Red Sox have lost 2 straight games to the Rockies for the first time in the Red Sox career. You have to go back to 2000 which was the last time the Rockies beat an AL team twice in a row. Tito your time as Sox Manager may be done very early
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
That's the blog for today, I'll talk to you guys on Monday.

Blog from Mile High

Well it's been a few days and a few states later I find myself in Colorado for tonight's game between the Rockies and the Sox. I'm writting this blog today instead of eating an early dinner to please one very picky reader, and I know that you'd never cheat on me; you should have made the road trip with me, (road trip, I only flew 35 minutes) well there's always next year. Well let's start the blog with some jeers and cheers
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
My first Jeer is to Anna for thinking of cheating on me, don't think about it, you know you'd regret it later
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Jeers to that F^&%in$ fan while I was at the Ballpark in Arlington who stole that ball from that 4 year old. And then just to sit there and watch the game after that happened. I'm sorry if i'm annoyed right now and I'm glad this hotel has internet access because I'm going to rant right now. Baseball isn't drawing younger fans and I wonder why, look at this what parents would want to put their 4 year old child in this situation, Anna would you want our kids in this situation, then again i'd kill the guy if he tried to do that. As I heard on Mike and Mike in the morning, I'd die if my car didn't have XM radio, and they were saying exactly what I thought, you see adults catch home runs and then they hand them to little kids and some of the times they aren't related. This brings me to a story that I love to tell that is the honest to goodness truth. I was at the saturday game int he first time Atlanta played the Red Sox at Fenway Park. I was over by Pesky's pole watching BP, Greg Maddux caught the ball and I asked for it and he flipped it to me. Without notice this guy next to me leans over and grabs the ball and takes off. Maddux being the class act he is gets another ball and he hands it right to me. Plus he gave that guy a mouthfull as he was taking off.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Cheers to reggie Sanders for being the class act that he was and going into the crowd to present the 4 year old with some balls, a bat and I'm told an autograph picture, all I could see was a box and a bat so i have no knowledge on what was in the box, if somebody like Anna who may have been watching the game on TV give me a heads up on what was in the box.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Cheers to ESPN for finally putting Stat Girl back on ATH and JEERS for tring Zach. I now see why Tony cut him I was annoyed then but now I can see that Tony knew what he was doing, wow that's a first.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Tonight is game 5 in the NBA playoffs and i have to agree with a quote that Woody Paige said, tonight will be the first time in NBA history where there was a 5 game sweep.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Sawks fans hold your breath as Curt Schilling has an MRI on his ankle, if the ankle is danaged at all we're looking at 8-10 weeks without him. Being the baseball expert I can tell you that if he needs time off it will be for the better because after he was nailed on the ankle by a Blue Jay off of his right ankle. Sure this injury goes back to his time with the D-Backs but we need to think this is the ankle on the foot that he pushes off of so he needs to get that to 100%.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
That's the blog for today, hopefully i'll catch a good Sawks vs Rockies game, Anna will have coverage of the A's vs Cards game for us tomorrow.

MLB preempted for NFL Europe

Fox Sports has reached a new low today as they decide to hold off on Baseball until 3:15 in the eastern time zone to instead show the World Cup. Unless this is the World X cup I'm not interested, who cares about NFL Europe, you'd have better luck finding me watching old tapes of the XFL. If people can't get up for watching the NHL or Arena Football why does Fox think that people will watch the World Cup or World Bowl or fruit punch or what ever it's called.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Time for a little Cheers and Jeers
Cheers to Derek Lowe for an outstanding outing last night in the Sox 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Jeers to Manny Ramirez for dropping an easy fly ball that would have been the final out in the ninth inning
Cheers to David Ortiz for all the offence the the Sox needed, that home run and then the game winning hit.
Cheers to the Cardinals for their 12-7 victory, mostly because their star Pujols was back.
Cheers to the Padres for their victory in Yankee Stadium last night
And Jeers to MLB for once again doing Interleague play this year
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
I'll see you guys tomorrow, and once again thanks for all the gifts that have come this way.

June 11th 2004

Finally last night the Sox showed some life as they exploded for 9 runs. I'm going to continue my plea, why isn't Pokey at Short? Atleast we took 2 out of 3 from the Padres, which is more than the Cardinals can say about their series with the cubbies.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
When will people finally give the pistons some respect. They won game one, they should have won game two, and they won game three last night and people around the water cooler are still talking how the Lakers are going to win the series. Phil Jackson is being outcoached, the Lakers are being outplayed and the Pistons are going to take this series
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Well that's all the time I have and it's a good thing because I'm all out of time. Thanks for everybody who has sent me grad gifts.

Great the Sox got Nomah back but

Well Sox fans were happy when Nomah made his return to the Sox lineup but the story here is what happened to Pokey. As my national league fans know Pokey Reese is the best fielding Second Baseman in the game today who has countless gold gloves and yet he's not starting they start Mark Bellhorn. My next gripe is about Tito, our great manager if you can even call him a manager. Bronson had a great start only giving up 1 earned run in 5 innings and then you put Wakefield in when there's wind, does anybody else remember game 7 of the ALCS last year. the sox only scored 2 runs in 2 games against the San Diego Padres. We're talking about the same Padres who were horriable the last few years, does a new ballpark really improve a team that much, if so the Devil Rays and Mets should start to think about building a new ball park.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Now for the ninjas reading this page I have to blast Zach for his horriable scoring last night during ATH, Boston Writter Michael Smith got screwed during the second question which cost him the game. Zach, the newest stat girl, scored two points for Smith the only problem is that he gave the points to Jay Mariotti, and those points were the difference inthe game. And Woody Paige got knocked out in the first knockout round with only 12 points. 12 points, hell the Lakers bench can score more than that in games. 12 points, didn't bob Ryan used to get that per answer back when Max was hosting, oh my mistake that was back when we had a scoring system, now who really knows how many points each answer is going to get.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Who gives a damn about Interleague play, this is hurting baseball. Baseball is tring to make the game more fan friendly, well here's an idea why don't you stop having the playoff games at 9 at night, you want to market it to little kids who can't stay up and watch the games. The All Star game has become a complete joke, as I said yesturday the fans aren't smart enough to vote on the all star game. We also need to abolish the rule that all the teams have to be represented because that rule is horriable. Should we really allow a member of the New York Mets to be on an All Star team, or how about those great mighty Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Lou promissed that they would be out of last place this year, well I hope that you have a time machine or be like George Bush and say, well I guess my people gave me wrong information.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
News from the no hope league, there is no hope that the NHL will have a season next year, or anytime in the future. It took baseball to have Sosa and big Mac to have that home run season to bring a lot of fans back what is hockey going to do to draw back fans, get rid of the goalie. Getting to a comment made on the woody paige message board, which can be viewed at woodypaige.com, said that hockey was slower back in the days of Bobby Orr, and I have to say that this person really needs to check his tv. The game was much faster then because there was no D-Fence. A man like Bobby orr would go blue line to the goal to score a goal in under 4 seconds, I don't think St. Louis can do that nor can anybody do that today because these men have learned D-Fence.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
On to the league that hosts No Basketball Ability; Are these playoffs over yet. These like the hockey playoffs take too long, you have the first series of 7 games go for 17 days. MLb gets 2 or maybe 3 rounds done in that same amount of time. MLB has the playoffs and World Series in the same month, only football can make that claim, which is why Football and MLB are the two biggest sports in the US today.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*
Well that's the blog for today, enjoy.

Blog for 6/9/04

Well it's time to straighten out a few of the Ninjas over at wp.com. I'll start with talking about why Bradshaw shouldn't have been released from CNBC and then to please the non-wrestling members of the board i'll move on to some Baseball talk.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
In my opinion Bradshaw shouldn't have been fired from CNBC and let me tell you why. His job as a heel is to get the crowd to hate them and as a heel you do everything and anything to get heat from the crowd so how did he get the heat in Germany by doing the Nazi signs. Give me a break, sure if he does that here in the United States then sure get the hell out of here but come on guys give me a break. NBC you have that insident with Jay Leno a few years ago when he did that live show and he got annoyed with the crowd and he dropped a few four letter words and what happened he gets a slap on the wrist and that happened in our country and millions of people saw that. Vs a wrestler who goes to a foreign country, keeping in mind we didn't get to see these actions, and does something as a heel wrestler. Come on CNBC you hired him as a marketing specialist not somebody who is here to make friends.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
now lets move on to some Baseball talk, finally i'd like to thank the good fans of Baseball for finally having an active shortstop leading the shortstop race for the AL All Star team. As much as I like Nomah, since i'm a Boston fan, he hasn't played a game all season so why should he get the shot to represent the AL. this is just another reason why MLB Fans aren't smart enough to vote for the All Star Game. Take no offense to this but about 15% vote for the players who really should represent each team. The other 85% just vote for the players they know or for their hometown teams. Guys/Anna really most of su aren't smart enough to vote. I know that I am because I didn't vote for Nomah at Short Stop, I only voted for 2 Red Sox players at all and they are Jason Varitek and Manny Ramirez who both in my opinion should be in the all Star Game. As much as I love people who watch Baseball if you don't know that much about it you shouldn't get to vote. That is why fans don't vote for who makes the Hall of Fame, I'm a strong believer that the players and announcers should pick who makes the all star team. They know who's having a good season and they won't just pick their favorite guys. I know that a ninja like Anna will refuse to put done any Cub on her All Star Ballot but I feel that some Cubs should be on that All Star team like Alou.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
That's the blog for today, leave some comments.
