Olympic Update

Live from Athens Greece, or maybe my room here in Belmont, it's time for an update.

Can we just have one game when Team USA doesn't give everybody a heartattack. Incase you're going to watch the game on NBCHD tonight then keep reading. Team USA almost loses another game they were down 31-21 after a quarter, down 51-47 at the half, still down 77 to 75 after three then they finally turn it up to win the game 89-79 over the mighty team from Australia. Finally Larry smartened up and played Lebron for 18 minutes, while he scored 8 points but what does he have against Carmelo as he only played 2 whole minutes. Enough time to just touch the ball 4 times and to shoot twice. Duncan led the team with 18 points, while AI and Marion scored 16. Team USA shot an amazing 18% from 3 land, and an even better 53% from the charity stripe and 33% from the field. Amazing, I believe that every college team shoots better than the not in your dreams team. Brian Goorjian's team almost pulled an upset, and how did he do it, he had 7 out of the 9 people who played for him played a min of 21:13. Team USA only has 4 over 20 minutes. Do you think that the likes of Martin Cattaline, John Rillie and Paul Rogers complained that they didn't play? Australia shot 50% from the floor, 46% from three land and 54% from the stripe.

And from Olympic Softball stadium, a real dream team has once again ended a game early. As team USA strikes for one in the third, and 3 in both the 4th and 5th. Lisa Fernandez had yet another special game by pitching 5 innings, striking out 5, while allowing 1 hit and 1 error. Another great game. Lisa also helped by driving in 1 while going 2-2.

And tonight the women's all around Final in Gymnastics, I can't wait to see this.
