One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet

First thanks to Justin for the plug, visit his blog at http://fatelvis04.blogspot.com/

Yesturday I had the honor to meet one of the most down to earth guys and one of the nicest people I've ever met and it wasn't me, it was John Mayer. so maybe at first I wasn't thrilled to be dragged down to Boston and then take a Taxi to the Virgin Mega Store and then stand in line for 4 hours to hear a 45 minute concert and then an autograph signing. To be honest I wasn't much of a fan of his before yesturday but after last night I can consider myself a fan. He surprised me how down to earth he was. He made sure to stay to sign for everybody, instead of taking off after the banded people went through, he understands that without his fans he is nothing. Virgin tried to get him to stop but he refused, he said he'd go on the street to finish the signing.

now because this is a sports blog we're back to sports. First Roger Clemens in a Red Sox uniform, wow I haven't been calling this since oh he signed with Houston last year. I can see this happening because he wants to have his number retired at Fenway and the only way that can happen is to end your career with the Sox. And to argue with what Kellerman said, "would you rather have Bronson Arroyo or Roger clemens" well personally I'd rather Bronson but I'd rather Clemens than Wakefield or Lowe. Bronson has been the Red Sox most consistent starter this year and the only reason he has so many loses is because the Red Sox on average score 2.5 runs for him a game. And he only gives up an average of 3 runs a game, when you give up 3 a game your'e expected to win.

And now since it's August 20th I have to give my picks for who is going to finish where in MLB.

This kills me but the Yankees are going to win the American League East.
The Twins are going to win the Central
The Angels are going to win the West
The Sox are going to win the Wild Card in a playoff game against Oakland.

now for the National League
The Braves are going to take the East
The Cards have the Central all wrapped up
The Dodgers are going to win the West
The Giants are going to win the Wild card, sorry Cubbies, actually I'm not at all

And how about Carly Patterson?
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
Getting back on Topic the Sox beat the Angels in the first round while the Yanks beat the Twins. The Sox will beat the Yanks this year in 7 games.

The Giants will get destroyed by the Cards while the Dodgers will beat the Braves. The Cards will then sweep the Dodgers.

The curse of the Bambino will strike again this year as the Cardinals will beat the Sox in 6 games. It kills me to say that but that's whats going to happen.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
When is Melo going to play some time, when they were killing teams in he preolympics he was playing a lot and they will winning, now they're not doing as well as we'd think and he's not playing. Come on Larry what do you have against this kid.
/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-/*-
To the iddiotic writter for the boston herald who compared the Patriots to the Yankees needs to be shot. Ok so maybe not that bad but come on there is a huge difference here, te Pats don't buy championships, the NFL has a salary cap. Plus Patriot Fans aren't annoying compared to Yankees fans who are well i'm not going to go there.

That's the blog for today, and let me remind a reader that this gets updated a lot compared to hers which is never updated.

    Clemens most likely won't come to Beantown. He signed a ten year personal services contract with the Astros the same time he signed his players contract, I don't think he legally could without getting out of it somehow.

    In other words, he is employed by the Astros for nine more years after this season. It aint happening Chag.
